Man Helps Hitchhiking Girl To Get Home. The Next Day, He Turns Pale After Seeing This On News

Carter, always a good Samaritan, didn’t think twice before helping a young hitchhiker named Avery get home safely.

It was a simple act of kindness on a hot summer day. He dropped her off at a modest house on the outskirts of town, her grateful smile the only reward he expected.

But the next day, as Carter watched the morning news, his face drained of color, his heart pounding with disbelief…

Picking up the girl

It wasn’t unheard of for truck drivers to encounter hitchhikers on the side of the road. Often, truck drivers were the only ones who would actually take them with them.

So when Carter saw a girl at the side of the road, not looking older than twelve, he knew he couldn’t drive past her.

He quickly pulled over and opened his passenger door for her.

She was fearless

The girl stepped into his truck without an ounce of fear on her face. “Good afternoon,” she said happily. “Hi,” Carter confusedly answered.

“Where are you headed?” He didn’t want to pry too much, as he didn’t want to make the girl uncomfortable.

The girl gave Carter an address that was about an hour’s drive in the wrong direction he actually had to go on, but he decided to take her there anyway.

A casual conversation

As he began to drive again, Carter tried to have a casual conversation. “I’m Carter. What’s your name?” he asked the girl. “I’m Tara,”

the girl said, staring at the road in front of her. It stayed quiet for a bit, but Carter was just too curious. “

What is a young girl like you doing all alone at the side of the road?”

Returning the question

He watched as Tara’s facial expression changed from neutral to a bit sad. Then, she looked at Carter and returned the question. “

What is an old man like you picking up young girls off the side of the road?” she asked him, her big eyes staring right into his.

Carter was taken aback by the girl’s sassy response, so he began to stammer.

A creepy joke

“I.. Eh,” he said. Then, the girl began to laugh. “I’m just joking. But I won’t answer your question. It’s a secret,” Tara said.

Carter sheepishly laughed, but he got a strange gut feeling about the girl. Suddenly, she didn’t seem so innocent anymore.

She actually seemed rather strange. He turned his attention back to the road, looking at his navigation for the time.

Staring in silence

He still had forty-five minutes to go with the strange girl in his truck. Sometimes, he would look at her through the corner of his eye, but she just sat there, staring in front of her in silence.

Carter didn’t know if she was just a little frightened to sit in a stranger’s car or if there could be something else going on with the girl.

A strange little girl

A child had never made him feel this type of way before, which confused Carter even more. What could a little girl like her even do to a grown man?

Carter sighed; he had to loosen up. It wasn’t like him to act like this. Hell, last week, he beat up a guy who was trying to cut in line without second-guessing himself, and now he was scared of a little girl?

A one way conversation

“So, are you going to your parent’s house?” Carter asked, slicing right through the silence. The little girl seemed to startle a little from his sudden question.

“Eh, no,” she said, nothing more, nothing less. Then, it was back to silence. Carter was done with the one-way conversation, so he turned on the radio and listened to music for the rest of the drive.

A modest house

Finally, they arrive at a house modest house. It looked ordinary like he could have lived there. The little girl stepped out of the truck, gave Carter a simple thank you, and slammed the door shut.

Carter stayed until he watched the little girl enter the house, but he couldn’t see who had opened the door as the person had stayed out of sight.

An hour behind schedule

Carter sighed in relief as he started his truck again. Now, he had to drive the hour back until he was back on-route to his destination.

Even though he was now an hour behind schedule, he was happy he was the one who had picked up the girl.

He couldn’t imagine how wrong this could have gone for her if someone else stopped before he did.

Thinking about the girl

While on his drive back, Carter couldn’t stop thinking about the girl. She had left a mark on him, and he couldn’t seem to get rid of it.

He turned on the radio again, hoping it would distract him a bit. Sadly, the news was on instead of a song. “The police are looking for–”

the news anchor said, but Carter never liked to listen to the news, so he zapped.

Finding a place to sleep

He wouldn’t make it to his destination for another 12 hours, so he had to find a place to sleep. He knew there was a truck stop in a couple of hours, so he decided to keep driving and stop there to sleep before he would resume his journey the next day.

That night, Carter was tormented with nightmares.

Police rushing by

Around four in the morning, Carter woke up to police sirens rushing by. He was sleeping inside his truck at the side of the highway so that he could hear everything outside.

Normally, he was a vast sleeper, but anyone would have woken up by the sound of ten police cars rushing by. It seemed like it would never end.

Going home

After Carter finally dropped off the cargo he was transporting, he made his way home. Totally exhausted, he sat down on the couch, a beer in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other.

He turned on the TV, hoping one of his favorite shows was on. As he zapped through the channels, he suddenly stopped, almost choking on a bite.

A picture of the little girl

On the TV screen was a picture of the little girl he had picked up this afternoon. He couldn’t believe it.

He quickly turned up the TV volume to hear everything loud and clear. Sadly, the news broadcast was at its end, and all he could hear was, “

If you know anything, call this number,” followed by a phone number.

Rushing for clues

With a quick grab for a pen, Carter scribbled down the number before it could vanish. His mind raced, thoughts tumbling over each other.

What had happened to Avery since he last saw her? Why was her face on the news? There was a tightness in his chest, a mix of worry and confusion, as he wrote down the last digit of the number.

A fruitless search

Carter flipped open his laptop, fingers flying over the keyboard. He searched for Avery, for any news story, any scrap of information that could explain what he’d just seen.

But the internet was quiet, too quiet. It was as if Avery had disappeared not just in real life but from the digital world too.

Each click led nowhere, each search ended in frustration.

The digital dead end

Not giving up just yet, Carter dived deeper into the web. Social media, news archives, even missing person databases—he checked them all.

But it was like Avery had vanished into thin air. No posts, no news articles, nothing. It was puzzling, maddening.

How could a girl on the news just an hour ago, leave no trace behind online?

Doubt and determination

Staring at the blank screen, Carter’s worry for Avery deepened. The silence of the internet was loud in his ears.

With every dead end, his determination grew. Something was off, and he couldn’t shake the feeling that Avery needed his help.

He couldn’t just sit back; he had to do something. The mystery of Avery’s sudden appearance on the news tugged at him, refusing to let go.

A moral quandary

Carter paced the room, the number burning a hole in his pocket. To call or not? He wanted to help Avery, but what if it dragged him into trouble?

The choice felt heavy, loaded with consequences he couldn’t predict. His mind was a battleground of what-ifs, each scenario playing out with a different ending, but none of them had a happy one.

Weighing the options

He sat down, lost in thought, replaying his time with Avery. She had seemed so at ease, so unlike the girl in the urgent news clip.

How could the two images of her be reconciled? The more Carter thought, the deeper the mystery seemed.

It was a puzzle with pieces that didn’t fit, and he felt caught in the middle, unsure of his next move.

Seeking advice

The idea of reaching out to a friend crossed his mind. Maybe talking it through would help clear the fog. But who would understand?

Who could guide him through this labyrinth without judging? The risk of involving someone else weighed on him, adding another layer of complexity to his dilemma.

Yet, the need for a sounding board, for someone to bounce his thoughts off, was undeniable.

The haunting image

Avery’s face, calm and unaffected, haunted him. It was at odds with the panicked voice of the news anchor, calling for help.

How could she be in danger yet appear so tranquil in his truck? The dissonance was jarring, leaving Carter tangled in his thoughts.

The contrast between the Avery he met and the Avery on the news twisted his gut with unease.

A decision made

After a night of tossing and turning, Carter’s resolve solidified with the morning light. He couldn’t ignore the nagging feeling in his heart.

Despite the uncertainties, he felt a duty to act, to follow the thread of mystery Avery’s image on the news had unraveled.

Picking up the phone, he took a deep breath. It was time to dial the number, time to step into the unknown.

The courageous call

With a shaky hand, Carter finally dialed the number. His heart thumped loudly in his chest, echoing in the silent room.

He was ready to help, to do whatever it took to ensure Avery’s safety. As the phone rang, his resolve grew stronger.

He had stepped into this mystery, and now he was determined to see it through, no matter where it led.

Bracing for answers

The ringtone droned on, each buzz a sharp reminder of the gravity of his action. Carter prepared himself to speak with the police, to explain how Avery had come into his life briefly and left a lasting impact.

He rehearsed what he would say, hoping to provide some clue, some piece of information that could help bring her back safely.

A cold voice

But when the call was answered, it wasn’t the official tone of an officer that greeted him; it was a voice cold and stern, cutting through Carter’s prepared speech before it could even begin.

The unexpected harshness caught him off guard, freezing the words in his throat. This wasn’t the call he had braced for.

The chilling message

Carter’s attempt to explain was cut short. “We know where you are,” the voice hissed through the phone, and then total silence. The line went dead.

The abrupt end to the call sent a shiver down Carter’s spine. It was a threat, plain and simple, and it made his blood run cold.

The message was clear: he was being watched.

A wave of fear

The phone slipped from Carter’s numb fingers, clattering on the table. He sat frozen, the warning echoing in his mind.

The danger he had sensed was real, and now it was close, perhaps closer than he had imagined. Fear gripped him, a visceral, tangible thing.

He realized then that he was in deeper waters than he had thought, caught in a current he could not control.

Reeling from the call

After the call ended, Carter sat in stunned silence. His mind raced, trying to piece together who could have issued such a chilling threat.

The voice was unfamiliar, its tone filled with a severity that made his stomach churn. Who was watching him?

And how had they connected him to Avery so quickly? The questions swirled, each one deepening the mystery and his sense of dread.

The threat becomes real

The threat on the phone transformed Carter’s worry into tangible fear. The idea of being watched, of being tracked because of his brief encounter with Avery, felt like a vise tightening around him.

He had wanted to help, but now, his involvement seemed to place him in the crosshairs of an unknown danger.

The reality of his situation settled heavy on his shoulders, a burden he hadn’t anticipated.

Seeking security

Paranoia crept in, coloring Carter’s thoughts and actions. He double-checked his locks, glanced over his shoulder, and jumped at every unknown noise.

How could he protect himself from a threat he couldn’t see, from a danger he didn’t understand? The need for security became paramount, driving him to consider measures he’d never thought necessary before.

A looming presence

The voice haunted him, a constant reminder of the threat lurking just out of sight. Carter felt exposed, vulnerable in a way he never had before.

The feeling of being watched was pervasive, following him as he moved through his day. Every shadow seemed sinister, every phone call a potential new warning.

The world felt smaller, the walls closing in as the unseen presence loomed over him.

The decision to act

Despite the fear, or perhaps because of it, Carter’s resolve hardened. He couldn’t live under the shadow of this threat, jumping at shadows and fearing unknown enemies.

Finding Avery and understanding the connection seemed like the only path forward. It was a risk, but Carter felt it was one worth taking.

To dispel the fear, to confront the threat head-on, he needed answers. And Avery was the key.

A life disrupted

Carter’s everyday life turned into a constant look-over-your-shoulder game. Phone rings made him jump, and knocks at the door had him holding his breath.

Simple things, like answering a call, became mini battles with his nerves. His normal routine was gone, replaced by a string of jumpy reactions to the most ordinary sounds.

Paranioa takes hold

Now, Carter saw shadows in every corner. Each unfamiliar face seemed to stare a bit too long, every car that drove by his house a few times too many felt like a threat.

Conversations had him second-guessing what he said, worried about who might be listening. The fear had settled in deep, making him doubt even the smallest things.

A plan emerges

Through all this fear, one thing became clear to Carter: Avery was the key. He figured if he could just talk to her, maybe all this madness would make sense.

So, he decided it was time to stop running from the shadows and start chasing them instead. It felt like the only way to cut through the fog that his life had become.

Seeking allies

The weight of going it alone was too much. Carter thought of a few friends he trusted enough to let in on this crazy situation.

The idea of sharing his secret was scary, but the thought of facing what was out there by himself was scarier.

He needed backup, someone to watch his back when he went looking for answers.

The resolve to find avery

Planning his next move, Carter felt a mix of fear and determination stir inside him. He started piecing together a plan to find Avery, each idea a step towards the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

Despite the danger, he couldn’t shake the feeling that this was what he had to do. Finding Avery was the first real goal he’d had in days, and he clung to it.

Preparation for the journey

Carter packed his car with a few essentials, his mind racing with what he might find. He needed answers, and the only way was to go back to where it all started: Avery’s house.

It felt like gearing up for a battle, one he never expected to fight. The drive ahead loomed large, but so did his need to understand what was happening.

The drive back

The drive felt longer than before, each mile stretching out as Carter turned everything over in his mind. What was waiting for him at Avery’s house?

What would he say? The road hummed beneath the tires, a steady reminder that he was moving closer to… what? Answers, hopefully.

With each passing sign, his resolve firmed up. He needed to know, no matter what.

Arriving with resolve

Pulling up to Avery’s house hit Carter with a weird sense of déjà vu. It looked just like it had that day—quiet, ordinary, hiding whatever secrets lay inside.

His heart was racing, but he felt a solid determination underneath. This was it. He was here for answers, and he wasn’t leaving until he got them.

Time to face the music, whatever tune it played.

Hesitation at the doorstep

Standing in front of the door, Carter’s confidence wavered for a second. This was the big moment. Behind this door, there could be answers or more questions.

He could be walking into a mess. Taking a deep breath, he reminded himself why he was here. For Avery, for answers, for himself. It was now or never.

The knock

Finally, he knocked. The sound seemed to echo around the quiet street, marking the point of no turning back.

His heart thudded loud in his chest, each beat a reminder that he was right in the thick of it now. Ready or not, he was about to find out what was on the other side of that door.

Carter stood tall, waiting for it to open.

Awaiting the unknown

Carter stood there, his heart doing somersaults. The wait felt endless, each second stretching longer than the last.

He could almost hear the tick-tock of an invisible clock, loud in the silent air. Waiting for that door to open was like waiting for a storm to hit—scary, but somehow exciting.

He just stood there, not sure if he was ready for what was coming.

The door opens

The door creaked open slowly, like a scene from a movie, unveiling not the sight Carter had braced himself for but something entirely unexpected.

There, in the doorway, stood a figure that seemed to pull the mystery deeper, throwing Carter’s expectations out the window.

His eyes widened, taking in the person before him, his mind racing to make sense of it all.

Recognition and confusion

Carter’s surprise turned to shock as he recognized the person standing in the doorway: — the news anchor from TV. “Why are you here?”

Carter thought, but the question just hung in his head, unasked. The confusion was overwhelming, his brain was trying to catch up with his eyes, leaving him standing there, mouth slightly open, totally thrown off by this curveball.

An invitation inside

Without a word, the news anchor motioned for Carter to come in. That simple gesture was weirdly comforting but also made Carter’s stomach twist a bit more.

It was like being invited to step off a cliff. You kind of want to see what’s at the bottom, but you also know it might not be a soft landing.

Still, Carter couldn’t just turn around now.

Crossing the threshold

Carter took a step forward, feeling like he was crossing into another world. Every inch forward was heavy with a mix of dread and need-to-know.

He was inside now, the door shut behind him, the story waiting to unfold. Whatever was going to come out of this, Carter was in too deep to back out.

This was it, the moment of truth.

The unlikely host

The news anchor, in casual home clothes, was a stark contrast to his on-air persona. “Didn’t expect me to wear a tie at home, did you?”

he joked, but his smile didn’t reach his eyes. It was clear; this was a man carrying a heavy burden, far away from the confidence he exuded on television.

Questions and answers

“As much as I wish it were different, Avery’s story isn’t just a simple case of running away,” the anchor started, his voice faltering.

Carter listened, the pieces clicking together. “We’ve been living in a shadow, hiding from threats you wouldn’t believe,”

he continued, painting a picture far more complex and dangerous than Carter could have imagined.

Avery’s father was being threatened by a gang

“It all started with a message,” the anchor explained, “a warning that turned our lives upside down.” Carter could hardly wrap his head around it.

Threats against a child, a father’s desperate act to protect her—it was like something out of a nightmare. “I had to make her disappear,”

he admitted, the weight of his decision heavy in his voice.

A father’s fear

“There were nights I couldn’t sleep, jumping at every sound,” the anchor shared, his usual composure slipping. “

Imagine fearing every call could be the worst news.” Carter saw the strain behind his eyes, a testament to the nights spent in fear for his daughter’s safety.

The reality of their situation was far more personal and harrowing than any news story could convey.

The web of deceit

“I never meant to pull you into this,” the anchor said, sincerity lacing his words. “But here we are, and now you’re part of this story too.”

Carter realized the depth of the web they were entangled in. What started as a simple act of kindness had drawn him into a battle he never knew existed, linking their fates in a story of fear, protection, and a fight for safety.

The plan revealed

“The news report about Avery, the calls… it was all orchestrated to throw them off,” the anchor explained, his voice steady but his hands betraying a slight tremor.

Carter listened, the enormity of the deception sinking in. “We had to make everyone look the other way,”

he added, showing the lengths a father would go to protect his child from unseen threats.

A shared dilemma

“It’s not just Avery anymore,” Carter realized, the weight of the situation dawning on him. “They know I’m involved now.”

The anchor nodded, the mutual understanding of their predicament hanging heavily between them. “We’re in this together,”

he said, acknowledging the risk Carter had unwittingly taken on. The shared danger forged an unexpected alliance, born of necessity and the instinct to protect.

Under siege

Sitting together, the reality of their situation became clear: they were under siege, bound by the threat against Avery. “

This isn’t how I imagined our paths would cross,” the anchor mused, a wry smile flickering. Carter couldn’t help but agree.

The connection, formed under the pressure of a gang’s vendetta, felt like a makeshift shield against the uncertainty that loomed over them.

The waiting game

As the hours ticked by, the tension in the room grew. “Now, we wait,” the anchor said, his gaze fixed on the silent phone.

Carter felt the anxiety bubble up, the inactivity a stark contrast to the turmoil inside him. They exchanged stories of fear and fleeting hopes, a way to distract from the helplessness that threatened to overwhelm them as they awaited a sign of intervention.

Reflections in the eye of the storm

In the quiet moments, Carter’s thoughts drifted to how a simple gesture of kindness had spiraled into a confrontation with a hidden world of danger. “

Never thought my life would turn into a thriller,” he half-joked, trying to lighten the mood. The anchor offered a weary chuckle in response.

Both understood the gravity of their situation, caught in a storm they could neither predict nor control, waiting for a break in the clouds.

Unexpected camaraderie

As the night wore on, Carter and the anchor found themselves in deep conversation, sharing bits of their lives far removed from the shadow of danger.

“In another life, we could’ve been friends,” Carter said, half-smiling. The anchor nodded, “Under different stars, perhaps.”

Their laughter, rare and fleeting, echoed softly, a reminder of the humanity behind the headlines and the crisis at hand.

The power of resilience

Carter couldn’t help but admire the anchor’s unwavering determination. “You’ve done everything possible for Avery,”

he observed, the respect evident in his voice. The anchor, looking weary but resolute, responded, “You find strength you didn’t know you had when it’s for your child.”

It was a lesson in resilience, in the face of unimaginable threats, that Carter would not soon forget.

A glimmer of hope

In the darkest hours, moments of hope flickered between them. They spoke of “after this is over,” daring to dream of calm after the storm. “

Maybe we’ll all have a normal day again,” Carter mused, trying to picture a future without fear. The anchor smiled, “

A day without looking over our shoulders.” It was a fragile hope, but it was theirs to hold onto.

The dawn of resolution

As dawn crept through the curtains, its light seemed to carry the promise of an end to their nightmare. “It’s almost over,”

the anchor said, his voice tinged with both exhaustion and relief. The thought of the gang being apprehended, of Avery safe and the threat dissolved, lent them strength as they faced the new day.

The first rays of sunlight felt like the beginning of an answer, a signal that resolution was on the horizon.

Calm after the storm

The news of the gang’s arrest spread through the room like a long-awaited breeze. Carter and the anchor shared a look of profound relief, a silent acknowledgment that their shared nightmare was finally over.

“It’s done,” the anchor sighed, the tension melting from his shoulders. The relief was palpable, a tangible thing that filled the space between them, sealing the end of their ordeal.

A farewell to arms

Carter gathered his things, the weight of the last few days pressing down on him one last time. He paused at the door, looking back at the anchor, a man who had been a stranger and had become an unexpected ally.

“This was quite the journey,” Carter said, a hint of a smile breaking through. It was time to step back into his life, but he was changed forever.

Gratitude and goodbyes

The anchor stepped forward, extending his hand. “I can’t thank you enough, Carter. You’ve done more than you’ll ever know.”

The handshake was firm, a symbol of their shared ordeal and mutual respect. “Take care of yourself,” the anchor added, his voice thick with emotion.

Goodbyes were said, but the gratitude lingered, a lasting bond formed under the most unlikely circumstances.

Lessons learned

Driving away, Carter’s mind replayed the events, each moment a lesson in courage and compassion. He had stepped into a situation far beyond his expectations, driven by a simple desire to help.

Now, he understood the ripple effects of kindness, how one act could intertwine lives in unforeseen ways.

He was leaving with more than he came with—insights into bravery, empathy, and the intricate dance of fate.

A new day

As Carter merged back onto the road, the world seemed different, as if he was seeing it for the first time.

The challenges he faced had carved out a new sense of purpose within him, a deeper appreciation for the bonds that tie us together.

With the dawn of a new day, he felt ready to face whatever came next, armed with a newfound understanding of the power of human connection.

“I knew that b*tch was up to something!!”

When Pipa started to mistrust her housekeeper Jackie, she put up a lot of cameras around the house without Jackie (Or her husband Sem) knowing about it.

And Jackie’s plan worked perfectly, as what she captured on the footage immediately exposed Jackie’s true intentions!

Pipa could not believe she ever trusted this woman…

Rushing home

Pipa was burning with rage after viewing the secret camera footage of Jackie. It confirmed her suspicions and worst fears.

She wanted to confront the housekeeper before she left her house. She had not even told her husband Sem about what she was doing, and for a good reason…

Confronting jackie

Luckily she was just in time. Jackie was putting the finishing touches on the home when Pipa burst into the front door scaring the living daylight out of her. Jackie had not expected Pipa home until tomorrow, and her boss wasted no time clarifying why she had come…

Pipa knew everything

When Pipa told Jackie about the hidden cameras, the housekeeper’s face went ghostly white. She knew that there was no way around it. Pipa had seen everything…

But what had Jackie seen on the camera footage? Why had she been suspicious, and what had Jackie been up to behind her back?

Working her ass off

Jackie was doing such a great job that Sem and Pipa even recommended her to their friends and neighbors.

Many of them hired her, and everyone was delighted while Jackie worked her ass off. She was with a family almost every day to clean up their house.

A lot of the husbands seemed especially happy with her.

Nothing compared to pipa

But Sem didn’t hire her for her looks. He didn’t understand why his friends were so excited about Jackie.

For him, no one was as beautiful as his wife, Pipa. He had met Pipa in high school, and they fell instantly for each other.

They dated for about seven years and have been married for seven years.

Too busy

They never actually had their honeymoon because they were both too busy with work. But now that they have Jackie, Sem thought it was time for them to get away for a week.

So they asked Jackie to stay in their home to care for their plants and cat as long as they were out, and she was happy to do so.

A little too happy.

Getting doubts

Their honeymoon is in two weeks, and everything is taken care of. But Pipa has heard some strange stories about Jackie, and she is starting to get doubts about her.

She didn’t want to tell her husband at first because she had assured him it would be fine. But now Jackie was going to stay in their house for a longer period of time.

Looking for proof

So before Pipa was ready to tell her husband, she wanted proof. Otherwise, Sem would brush it off and tell her not to worry.

So she thought of a plan. She told Sem she was heading to work a little later. But she actually hid in a closet and waited for Jackie to arrive.

She wanted to see if the rumors were true.

The rumors

From the moment that Pipa and Sem had thought about hiring Jackie, there had gotten in contact with some strange rumors that had been circulating about the young woman.

But nobody knew if any of these stories were actually true…

Finding somebody else?

All these strange stories that Pipa was hearing from people really started to turn her away from the idea of hiring Jackie.

Why would she take a risk on somebody like that? They could probably easily find somebody else to do the job. But Sem had a different idea about this

Not wanting to judge jackie

He was very much against the idea of judging somebody on a series of which they had no idea if they were even true in the slightest.

And in their first conversation, Jackie had made a great impression on both him and Pipa.

Pipa had doubts

Pipa was almost a bit caught off guard by Sem’s steadfast attitude on this subject. Mostly he did not get involved at all in decisions on topics like this.

Why did this matter so much to him? All these questions started to come up in Pipa’s mind again as she was waiting in the closet

Taking a chance

At the time, she had decided to just go with what Sem wanted and take a chance. And up till very recently, she had not felt even the slightest bit of regret about he choice.

But that would all start to change very soon. Then Pipa suddenly hears the key turn in the lock of the front door.

Nothing to see here

Jackie arrived in the afternoon. Pipa found this a little strange because they paid Jackie from ten o’clock.

So she decided to get out of the closet to get a better look at what Jackie was doing. She heard a lot of noise from the kitchen, but when she looked around the corner, Jackie was only cleaning out the dishwasher…

The benefit of the doubt

Pipa decided to come out of hiding and give Jackie the benefit of the doubt. She walked around the corner and greeted Jackie.

Pipa had never been home before during Jackie’s cleaning hours. So she seemed a little startled, but she smiled through it.

Pipa told her she was leaving, and Jackie seemed relieved.

Caught being late

Jackie was disappointed that Pipa was home the day she came to work late. She had planned something for today but canceled it.

Today wouldn’t work anymore because Pipa had already caught her being late. So instead, she worked extra hard to compensate in the hope that Pipa would forget about that.

Not one to forget

But Pipa didn’t forget. She had to think of another plan to see what Jackie was up to when she was alone in the house.

Sem and Pipa had always thought about security cameras, but they never went through with them. But now seemed the right time to get them installed anyway.

Behind her husbands back

She called a company, and they told her they could come the following weekend. That worked out perfectly because Jackie only works from Monday to Friday.

Pipa made sure that her husband was out that day. She had sent him to the store with a very long list.

He wouldn’t be home for the next two hours.

Getting the camera’s

The workers came and went right at it. They installed the cameras in the kitchen, living room, laundry room, bedroom, and guestrooms.

Almost every angle of the house was visible on camera except for the bathroom and some other corners.

Pipa had asked them to make the cameras as invisible as possible.

Her secret was save

Even her husband Sem didn’t notice the cameras when he returned. That gave Pipa a secure feeling her plan would work.

There was no way that Jackie would discover her little secret. She could leave for the honeymoon the following Monday full of confidence!

A lot of contact

When making the final preparations to leave for a week, they were in contact with Jackie a lot. The couple wanted to make sure that she knew exactly what to do with their house when they were away.

And Jackie was listening, but in reality, it went in one ear, and out the other…

Not noticing the camera’s

On the day that Pipa and Sem were set to leave, Jackie came in early so they could walk through the house together.

Pipa was nervous during this walk as you might expect, but ended up relieved to see that Jackie also didn’t notice the cameras.

Secretly being recorded

She went on her honeymoon with comfort, knowing that everything would be recorded. She thought that nothing could go wrong, but Jackie had other plans.

She had no clue that she was being recorded. So naturally, she didn’t act like it either. She did whatever she wanted to do…

More and more curious

During the flight, Pipa noticed that she could think of nothing else than wanting to see the footage.

Her curiosity as to what Jackie might be getting up to in her house was getting to worrying proportions.

But Pipa was not concerned as tonight she would find out the truth!

A failed plan

But when they arrived at their apartment, it turned out that the camera app didn’t work yet. Pipa felt powerless.

She had to wait until they returned to review all the footage. How could she enjoy her honeymoon with all this stress lingering over her head…

Trying to forget about it

The first couple of days, Pipa just tried to push everything to the back of her mind. she knew that she would only have to wait a week more to discover what Jackie had been doing and that should be easily doable under normal circumstances.

But for Pipa, things had already gone far beyond that.

Not thinking of anything else

It was becoming more and more clear that she could not stop thinking about Jackie and if Pipa was being honest with herself, she could not enjoy the honeymoon while she was bottling up all her feelings.

She was in constant contact with Jackie, trying to keep tabs on her. But it just was not enough

Telling Sem

Pipa felt at a loss and figured that the only way she could salvage this week, was if she was honest to Sem about what she had been doing at their home.

Maybe then he could take a little bit of weight off her heavy heart. And so she told Sem, about the cameras

Mad at Pipa

Sem wasn’t happy with Pipa going behind his back to install those cameras. As she suspected, he didn’t understand because she had assured him everything would be fine.

But after hearing why she felt like she had to do it, he understood. But she would have to discuss every next move she wanted to make with him first…

Finally some peace

Now that she was able to discuss her worries with Sem and she actually felt heard by him, Pipa final;y felt some rest return to her mind. She could now enjoy the rest of her honeymoon with the assurance that she could look at the cameras when she got him in a couple of days

Returning home in shock

When Sem and Pipa returned home, they were very surprised by what they found. Jackie had already gone home again and the couple were shocked by what she left behind.

The house still looked the same, but it was even cleaner than they left it behind. Like Jackie had tried to cover something up?

Lost footage

Pipa tried to look back at all the footage, but it didn’t record anything because she had forgotten to connect the cameras to the app.

She felt like a failure but was still determined to find out what was going on with Jackie. There had to be another way…

Talking to the neighbors

Desperate to find somebody who had seen anything, Pipa turned to her neighbors. She had not asked them to keep an eye on her house (which she now very much regretted), but maybe one of them had seen or heard some something in or around their house that stood out to them?

The golden tip

When she was going door to door by all they house, finding out absolutely nothing at first, Pipa was suddenly called over by one of her closet neighbors.

He had heard what she had been doing and had actually wanted to talk to here about just that…

Strange noises

Her neighbor had told Pipa that he had heard strange sounds from their home in the past week. And that there had been different cars in the driveway.

This worried Pipa, and she went straight to her husband. Together they came up with a different plan.

This time they would go to a nearby hotel.

Wanting to talk to Jackie

Sem actually wanted to have a conversation with Jackie about Pipa’s suspicions so that they would not have to bother invading her privacy with the cameras again.

But Pipa did not see this as an option at all. Her paranoia had started to reach new levels with all the time she was left in the dark about Jackie.

The cameras stay on

She had come up with a million and one things that Jackie could be doing in their house without them knowing, and when the neighbor told her about the “

strange sounds”, there was no stopping Jackie’s imagination. The cameras would stay on…

Jackie did not suspect a thing

Part of Pipa thought that Jackie might end up finding it suspicious that they would leave for a night so soon again.

They almost never went out, and now, going back to back had to have her raise an eyebrow. But Pipa should not have worried, as Jackie was only happy that she was getting another chance to execute her plans.

The night away

And so it happened. Sem and pipa left the following weekend for their “romantic night away.” But there was nothing romantic about it at all.

Hell, Sem spent the evening with his friend while Pipa got a cheap hotel room and started stalking the cameras to see what Jackie was up to…

All these questions

Pipa didn’t care that her husband was out with his friends. She didn’t even ask where they were going.

All she could think about was Jackie doing god knows what in her house. Pipa wondered if her neighbors felt the same way about Pipa or that she only did this at their place.

But her questions would soon be answered.

Feeling the opposite way

Sem, on the other hand, felt completely the opposite about this situation. He didn’t like snooping around in people’s private business, but there was no stopping his wife when she had made her mind up about something.

And oh, how she had made her mind up about Jackie.

Spending the night apart

Because of their different look on this situation, they decided to spend the night apart. But that would end up being a big mistake.

This way, Pipa had no voice of reasoning and could spiral out of control in seconds. And Sem wouldn’t know about this until it’s too late.

This time she will catch her

While Sem was out drinking and partying with his friends, he didn’t think about his wife for a second.

But she didn’t think about her husband either. They were both so focused on themselves. Pipa kept looking at her iPad, following Jackies every move around the house.

This time she will catch her.

Time flies by when you’re spying

Hours passed, and Pipa didn’t look away from her iPad once. Her eyes started to burn, and her tummy was rumbling.

She checked the time and was shocked that it was already eight o’clock. She had been looking at the camera footage since noon.

Against her own will, she decided to look away and order food.

Where was Jackie?

It was only a few minutes, but Pipa felt like she had missed hours of Jackies moves. She wasn’t on the couch anymore, where she had been when Pipa closed the app.

Pipa searched for Jackie through all the camera screens, but she was nowhere to be found. How is this possible?

Calling her neighbor

Pipa felt slightly panicked. What if Jackie had noticed the cameras? That would be catastrophic for her plan.

She called her neighbor to ask if she could look over the fence. The neighbor was a little hesitant. But Pipa reminded him of the strange noises.

So the neighbor looked over the fence.

Hiding her feelings

To their surprise, nothing strange was happening in or around the house. Jackie wasn’t even home anymore. Her car was gone.

This frustrated Pipa, but she hid her feelings. If someone knew about what she was doing, they would call her crazy or even inform Jackie about it.

And she couldn’t let that happen.

Obsessed with spying

Staring at the screen had become an obsession for Pipa at this point. And it was getting so bad that she did not pay attention to anything else than the iPad.

She didn’t even answer her texts or pick up her calls, not even when Sem had called her three times in a row.

Sem was worried

Because of this, Sem started to worry about his wife. He had tried to distance himself from the situation but felt like he could simply no longer ignore the reality.

He decided to go to the hotel room to check on her. But what he sees there shocks him…

A different wife

When Sem entered the room, he was shocked to see the state his wife was in. She sat crouched on the bed with the iPad between her legs and her head down, staring at the screen.

She didn’t even flinch when Sem entered the room. He had never seen his wife like this before.

Trying to save his wife

Sem felt like he had to do something. This couldn’t go on any longer than it already has. He grabbed the iPad from Pipa and held it above his head.

Pipa lifted her head slowly and stared at him with a terrifying look on her face. Then out of nowhere, she jumped up and yanked the iPad out of Sem’s hands.

Startled by her strange behavior

Sem was so startled by his wife’s behavior that he left the room without saying a word. He didn’t know who his wife was anymore.

Pipa watched him walk away and did feel sad about it, but her feelings toward spying on Jackie were stronger.

And it turned out she had every right to be suspicious.

Movement in the house

As Pipa was still staring at the closed door, she noticed something in the corner of her eye. There was movement in her house again.

Jackie had returned home, and something had changed about her. She held weird objects in her hand and paced nervously around the house.

Growing suspicious

Pipa wondered why she was acting like this and zoomed in on the objects in Jackie’s hand. She was holding random tools.

What would she need those for? Had she broken something on accident? But It will soon be clear to Pipa what Jackie is doing, or rather, planning.

This can’t be good.

Doing something strange in the bathroom

Jackie then went into the bathroom. Pipa didn’t have cameras in there, so she couldn’t see what Jackie was doing, but she kept track of the time.

Jackie came out of the bathroom fifteen minutes later. This started Pipa’s spiral. What could she possibly be doing in the bathroom for so long?

An alarming sight

Then, Jackie does something Pipa can’t explain. It was very alarming to see, and Pipa wanted to go home immediately.

But Pipa hesitated for a moment. Was it finally time to go home and confront Jackie about what she had seen?

She was about to turn off the iPad when she saw something that made her blood boil.

Caught in betrayal

Pipa stared at the screen in disbelief. How could someone they had trusted for so long with their house and their belongings betray them like that?

She couldn’t believe what she was seeing. This was even worse than she expected it to be. Her husband had to believe her now.

Caught in the act

She felt a rage growing inside her, and she couldn’t control herself anymore. After everything she had done, she had finally caught Jackie in the act.

She ran to her car and drove home with incredible speed. She needed to be there as soon as possible before anything could get out of hand.

Calling Sem

While in the car, she called her husband Sem. She begged him to come to the house as soon as he could.

She finally knew what Jackie had been up to and he needed his help to confront her. But confining her husband again was not as easy as she had hoped…

Very hesitant

Sem was very hesitant at first. to him, Pipa was clearly suffering from some. kind of delusion and he did not want to enable her.

But he wanted to give her one final chance. But if she was wrong again, then she would have to get help.

Pipa had no problem promising this.

Barging through the door in time

Luckily, Pipa was just in time. Jackie was finishing the home when Pipa burst into the front door, scaring the living daylight out of her.

Jackie had not expected Pipa home until tomorrow, and her boss demanded an explanation immediately. But Jackie was so shocked she couldn’t speak.

Talking herself out of it

After a few minutes, it started to sink in with Jackie. She had been caught red-handed. But she didn’t know her boss had proof, so she tried to talk herself out of it.

She thought she could flirt her way out of this situation. But she was horribly wrong…

A worried Sem arrived

Sem arrived minutes later. He had rushed home because of Jackie’s call. he wanted to help her but he was also worried that his wife would do something she would regret later.

She was getting to a point where she might not be able to control her actions anymore…

Showing Sem the proof

But Pipa had her proof ready. She had just waited with showing it until Sem arrived. She took her iPad out of her bag and showed Sem the footage.

Jackie had no idea what was happening or what Pipa showed her husband, but it couldn’t be good…

White as a ghost

Because Sem turned back to Jackie with an angry look on his face. “How could you?!” He yelled at her.

She still tried to explain, but Pipa and Sem knew everything was a lie. They showed Jackie the footage, and she turned as white as a ghost.

Everything had been captured on camera. There was no way out of this.

Staging a break-in

Jackie felt defeated and decided to tell them the truth. She had staged a break-in and filled her car with all kinds of valuable items.

She planned to sell everything for a lot of money to go to college. She had lied about going to Yale on her resume because she never had the money for it.

Pipa couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

Feeling sorry

Her anger faded, and she started to feel sorry for Jackie. Here they were, living in a big house with all these nice things they never even use.

She hugged Jackie and told her stealing was never an option, but they weren’t going to the police. Instead, they did something unexpected.

Sponsoring jackie

Pipa and Sem decided to sponsor Jackie so she could go to college. Jackie was very grateful for their kindness, and she stayed their housekeeper for a little bit until she got too busy with school.

She later graduated and paid everything back to Pipa and Sem.
